What conditions do you treat?I treat many different neurological conditions including but not limited to: - Stroke - Spinal Cord Injury - Multiple Sclerosis - Brain injury - Parkinson's disease - Dementia I treat many different musculoskeletal conditions including but not limited to: - Deconditioning following a hospital stay - Post-op care including joint replacements - Fractures - Weakness or balance issues associated with aging - Lower back and neck pain - Strains and sprains - Rotator cuff injuries - Tendon pain If you have a condition or concern and are wondering if I could help, please email or give me a call I'd be happy to answer any questions!

What does a physiotherapy session look like?I tailor my physiotherapy assessments and treatments around your goals. Often, I will work on walking/gait training, balance training/fall prevention strategies, and equipment suggestions such as walkers, canes etc. I also bring a treatment table for any manual therapy indicated, and some equipment for resistance training and balance. After each session, I will email a summary of my suggestions/findings, and a care plan going forward.

How do I know if your services are right for me or my loved one?The answer to this question changes based on the individual and their personal condition and goals. If you are experiencing pain or injury, have a neurological condition that causes functional changes, and/or are looking to increase your function (such as strength, balance, walking ability) then my services could likely be beneficial to you. I do offer free 15 minute phone consultations to see if my physiotherapy services are right for you or your loved one. Please see the bottom of the website for this information.

What experiences do you have working with Seniors and people with Neurological Conditions?I am a Physiotherapist at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph and work in the Transitional Care and Complex Medical unit. I previously worked in Inpatient Rehab. I work frequently with patient's that are Seniors as well as patients with complex conditions (including neurological conditions) with varying levels of mobility. My job is to ensure safety and optimize mobility in my patients to help them achieve their goals.

Are your services covered by extended health benefits or insurance?My physiotherapy services are not covered by OHIP. They are covered by extended health benefits / private insurance if you have physiotherapy coverage. After each session, you will receive a receipt you can submit to your benefits plan for reimbursement!

Do you provide services in Fergus and Elora?Yes! I provide services in Fergus and Elora and other towns/cities surrounding my advertised servicing area. A $10 travel cost fee will be applied to the regular physiotherapy fee to account for increased travel time.

Do you provide physiotherapy services in Long Term Care Homes, Retirement Homes, and hospitals?Yes! I can provide physiotherapy services in Long Term Care homes, Retirement Homes and hospitals. I will contact the facility beforehand to complete any necessary paperwork.
